The Liberal Democrat Autumn Conference begins in Glasgow this weekend, and for the first time the party’s peers will be hosting their own fringe event.
On Sunday night, Baroness Bonham Carter, Lord McNally, Baroness Northover and Baroness Jolly are inviting attendees to ‘The Party’s Peers: Ensuring Liberal Democrat Influence in the House of Lords’.
Aimed at engaging with members of the party and explaining how the peers operate as a group in the House of Lords, each member of the panel will speak about their roles and how they have ensured that Lib Dem policies and ideas get through into government. They will then take questions from the floor.
The Party’s Peers: Ensuring Liberal Democrat Influence in the House of Lords takes place at 6.15pm in the Fyne Room at the SECC, Glasgow, on Sunday, September 15.
Published and promoted by Tim Gordon on behalf of the Liberal Democrats, both at LDHQ, 8-10 Great George Street, London, SW1P 3AE.
